Ideas for my Kitchen- shabby chic style
I really like the plates above the cabinet and this is something I would like to do in my kitchen.I am on the hunt for shabby chic inspiration and I will be adding pictures here as well as on my pinterest. I have added pictures of on my home tab of my home and some of my projects that are just in the baby stages. What I am thinking is this blog will help keep me organized and motivated.
I love this using unusual items for adding interest in your home decorating.
I love the white on the dark this is what I want my kitchen to look like. Also I love the hanging chandeliers for lights.
I love everything about this kitchen, the distressed cabinets, the sink, the shelves.
Also very smart to paint the front of the dishwasher I hadn't thought about that. I am now adding that to my projects.

Chicken Nuggets- a surprise win for me!
So as I have mentioned I started working out and I have also tried to eat better. I refuse to go on a diet because that messes with my head and makes me want to eat more. But as you have heard before it is about changing your lifestyle and eating patterns so that is what I am trying to do. I have discovered there are a lot of smart moms out there with great blogs and they share their recipes. I know I am so behind the times. Sunday Baker is one of those and she has some great recipes as well as Moma and Baby Love. I made some homemade chicken nuggets and what I borrowed from her recipe was that she used parmesan in the crumb mix. I also added flax seed to give those well needed omega threes. Now I am not a nutritionist and I have been known for eat bad food until the cows come home but I am just trying to make a change for me and my kids. Anyway I digress the kids loved the chicken nuggets and I am going to try to make these and freeze them so that when we want chicken nuggets they are ready. Let’s face it the appeal to the chicken nugget is that it is convenient so I am going to try and make my health versions more convenient. I change up recipes like I change up decorating ideas. I just use what I have and make it work. I didn’t have almond flour and I looked for it in the store but it was really expensive. Her recipe was to be gluten free and I didn't need mine to be so I used some regular flour and bread crumbs the parmesan made them taste really good and we couldn't even taste the flax seed.
Here is a pic and here is my recipe:
So I did some more surfing and found this blog and her recipe was almost the same as mine but I added flax seed. Skinny Taste
Happy Cooking!

Moving forward
This morning I worked out and I am very proud of myself. I have been getting some great workouts from a fellow blogger, http://lifeplusfitness.blogspot.com
I did some of the arm workouts this morning she suggested and they kicked my butt. I am so hoping to keep it up. The rumors are true, I feel great when I work out, and I feel like it helps me combat my depression.
Anyway I wanted to tell yall that I am going to be posting pictures of my house soon. I have always had a desire to own a home and was able to buy a home here in Nevada last year. There are so many things about my home that I love, but there are also so many things I would like to make better. I feel that the house you live in plays a part in your design decisions. So I look forward to showing you my new home and the projects I have in store. I am always looking for fun and inexpensive ways to decorate. Happy decorating and hope you all enjoy the pics look for them on the tab marked my home.

Those little bottles- a bit on water...
Revelation for the day, I have drunk more water today then I have in a long time. Did I have a big jug of water on my desk? No, I had a tiny little bottle of water because there were some left over from a party, an 8 oz size. So here is my thinking, I thought that there is a mental block for me when I have a big bottle because I think I will never get through it. Yes, I agree that if you just have water around then you will drink it, but just having the little bottle made it much more doable for me and less daunting. Also the added benefit of getting up and filling up the little cutie was helping me move and for those of you who have a desk job like me you know it is a good idea to get up and get moving. So here’s to happy drinking in little bottles, even though it’s just water, ha!

Wall Art
I wanted to make some kind of art for my large wall and didnt have much money. I had some extra frames from pictures my son didn't want hanging any more. So I had three pictures of my kids blown up to be like 11 by 18 in black and white. Then I purchased poaster board in a burnt red color and cut them out for the pictures. I should have just placed the picture on the poster board and framed it but I thought that I had to cut it out for some reason. It was because I was thinking of it as a large scale mat. Any way the mats did not turn out perfect but I like how they turned out overall and they fit well on my large blank wall.
